Meet the Artist

For Cari, art has always been more than a creative pursuit. It's a way of seeing the world, capturing beautiful moments, and bringing a sense of escape into everyday life.
Formally trained in drawing and painting for eight years, Cari studied a range of mediums, including charcoal, pastel, acrylic, and oil, before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art. While her education established a strong technical foundation, her artistic voice has continued to evolve through years of exploration, experience, and an enduring love of creativity. As she likes to say, she's not self-taught, but self-evolved.
After graduating, Cari pursued a career in the corporate world, eventually earning her MBA while continuing to express her artistic side through freelance graphic and web design. Although her creative work took on different forms, her love of fine art was never far from her heart. After two decades of painting intermittently, she returned to the easel with renewed inspiration and a desire to share her work more widely. Today, she continues her corporate career while building Cari Luce Fine Art Studio - a reflection of her belief that creativity is something we should never stop nurturing.
Inspired by beautiful places, particularly those along the coast, Cari's paintings blend impressionistic expression, graceful movement, and luminous color with an elevated, contemporary sensibility. From atmospheric seascapes and sculptural shells to delicate botanicals and coastal landscapes, her work captures not simply what a place looks like, but how it makes us feel. Expressive brushwork, layered textures, and thoughtfully curated palettes give her paintings a sense of energy and sophistication while maintaining an underlying softness and serenity.
Cari is equally passionate about the relationship between art and interior design. She believes our surroundings have a profound influence on how we feel, and that a thoughtfully designed space should offer a moment of respite from the demands of everyday life.
"I want people to exhale when they enter a room. To feel a sense of calm, beauty, and escape - as though they've stepped into their own private retreat."
Having spent time living in historic Charleston, South Carolina, Cari now resides in Florida with her other half and their adorable dog. Outside the studio, she finds inspiration in travel, the ocean, fitness, and a healthy appetite for adventure. A lifelong fascination with sharks has even found its way into her art through her hand-painted Megalodon Collection, where prehistoric forms are reimagined as sophisticated, one-of-a-kind coastal art objects. Her adventurous spirit has taken her beneath the surface several times to dive with great white sharks - an experience that reflects both her deep appreciation for the natural world and her curiosity about its extraordinary beauty.
Through Cari Luce Fine Art Studio, she brings these influences together, creating original artwork that celebrates beautiful places, inspires a sense of escape, and makes the spaces we call home feel a little more extraordinary.
